Leading broadcaster, ARN, collaborated with APN Outdoor to carry out an April Fools’ Day prank involving an image of KIIS 1065 presenter, Kyle Sandilands, sporting a mock receding hairline.
The image of Sandilands was live on an APN Outdoor Elite Screens digital billboard on Darlinghurst Rd in Sydney’s CBD, General Holmes Drive and Sydney Aiport from 2am on April Fool's Day. An image of the Elite Screen was shown to Sandilands live on air during the Kyle and Jackie O Show.The hoax came about after Sandilands complained that photography of him featured in ARN’s current outdoor campaign was unflattering.
