Outdoor Media Association (OMA)
The Outdoor Media Association – the national industry body – is vital to the growth of Outdoor in Australia. It represents the majority of the country’s Outdoor advertising businesses, as well as creative material production facilities and media display asset owners.
As one of the largest members of the OMA, APN Outdoor plays an important role. Our Chief Executive, Richard Herring, was appointed Chairman of the OMA in May 2011 and is responsible for leading the board in determining and developing strategy for the Outdoor industry.
Measure of Outdoor Visibility and Exposure (MOVE)
APN Outdoor is a founding member and supporter of MOVE. Launched in 2010, MOVE is Australia’s first and only audience measurement system for Outdoor advertising.
Media Federation of Australia (MFA)
The Media Federation of Australia (MFA) is the peak body representing media communication companies. Since APN Outdoor launched in 2004, we have been keen supporters of the MFA and are the ongoing major sponsor of their annual awards event.
Next Generation (ngen)
A subsidiary of the MFA, the Next Generation (ngen) program is for professionals with less than five years’ experience in the media industry. We have been members since 2009 and are active supporters of the program.
APN Outdoor is the only Outdoor company with their own production company, GSP. They are Australia’s leading provider of high quality and cost effective printing, finishing and logistics for Outdoor and point of sale advertising campaigns.
Located in Sydney and with over 20 years’ experience, GSP uses state-of-the-art equipment at their 5,000 sqm facility.
Australian Olympic Committee (AOC)
In January 2016, APN Outdoor became the Official Outdoor Media Partner of the Australian Olympic Team and have signed on as a Team Partner until Tokyo 2020. The partnership marks the first time the Australian Olympic Team has joined forces with an Outdoor media provider and is indicative of the growth and anticipated trajectory of the medium. With Australian’s spending more time out and about, Outdoor media provides a globally consumed platform that compliments the universal appeal of the Olympic Games as well as the platforms provided by existing media partners.
