APN Outdoor ramps up digital expansion in Perth


SYDNEY: Leading Outdoor media company, APN Outdoor, today announces that is has been awarded a 10-year contract with Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) to provide up to eight new Digital Billboard freeway sites in Perth.

The announcement is another feather in the cap for APN Outdoor’s aggressive digital developments, which will see the company further expand its Elite Screen portfolio.

In addition, APN Outdoor achieved another significant milestone this week, obtaining development approval for Perth’s first freeway digital sign. Located at Bull Creek on the Kwinana Freeway, the site is part of an existing agreement between APN Outdoor and the Public Transport Authority (PTA) of Western Australia.

APN Outdoor’s new digital sites in Perth – which form part of the company’s Elite Screens collection – will create the first digital billboard network in Perth and Western Australia. The location of these new Elite Screens will span Kwinana Freeway to the South and Mitchell Freeway to the North. As two of the busiest freeways in Perth, these new additions will provide APN Outdoor advertisers with unrivalled quality, coverage and audience reach within the West Australian market. 

All sites will be Supersite format measuring 12.66 x 3.35 metres. For maximum exposure they will be in operation 24/7. Utilising the latest LED technology, each new site will feature a 10mm high-resolution digital screen and will be architecturally designed. Delivery of the sites will commence in the first quarter of 2015.
