APN Outdoor dominate the Media i Awards last night in Sydney


Last night at Sydney’s Ivy Ballroom, the media industry gathered to celebrate this years’ Media i survey results, and announcement of the winners of the highly sought after Media i awards.

The 2015 nominations, shared with the market, saw APN Outdoor receive a whopping 10 inclusions, including the highly coveted National Media Sales Team of the Year. It was with much anticipation that the Outdoor leaders attended last night’s proceedings and the outcomes did not disappoint.

Of the ten nominations, the winners were as follows:

  • VIC Sales Team of the Year
  • WA Sales Team of the Year
  • Outdoor/Cinema sales person of the year NSW (Debbie Webb)
  • Outdoor/Cinema sales person of the year SA (Thea Petros)
  • Outdoor/Cinema sales person of the year WA (Phil Dada)

Richard Herring, CEO -APN Outdoor commented on the success “Last night’s results are a culmination of the hard work from the entire team at APN Outdoor. Sales are our external face and richly deserve this accolade; it should not however be overlooked that there is a great team behind them that support their daily efforts and I thank them all for their contribution to this win.”

Richard Herring continued, acknowledging the importance of recognition by peers. “The media landscape is fiercely competitive and to be recognised for criteria the like of proactivity, innovation, insight and service excellence is an outstanding achievement. A special mention to those individuals from our teams who won ‘Sales Person of the Year’ awards, some now multiple years running.

Our state teams that brought home the awards deserve another special mention, as this is a reflection of your collective hard work and expertise that is evidentially being noticed in each of their markets. On behalf of the company, I would also like to specially congratulate Mark Fairhurst having accepted the National Sales Team Award on behalf of APN Outdoor - this is a true reflection of great leadership, management and reputability in market and a promising indication of the trajectory of our company and the broader team.”

APN Outdoor staff were in attendance at the awards last night, to support their colleagues and celebrate the achievements of the company. Last night’s accolades come on the back of a good year for APN Outdoor who marked yesterday twelve months as a publically listed company and continue to dominate the digital outdoor space with a growing portfolio of Elite Screens and the recent expansion of XtrackTV into the Adelaide market.
